A Shine of Rainbows

The 28th Vancouver International Film Festival started today with A Shine of Rainbows as the opening act. The Canadian-Irish film was touching and the relationship between Tomas and Maire and specially the develeopment of the relationsip between Tomas and the Maire's husband was depicted beautifully.

In addition to the charm in most of the dialogs, there were a couple of interactions that were particularly catching, including when Tomas was hiding from the other kids in the stable, and Maire, wanting him to join the kids, after saying that the kids were mean at first because they were exicted to see him, told him "Come, if you want" from a space of contentment and detachment, leaving him free to choose what he wants.

The film also beautifully mentions the power of wanting and desiring, for e.g. the tall stone statue being a wish-granter.

John Bell did a great job of playing Tomas in front of Connie Nielsen as Maire.

VIFF with over 370 films has been ranked among the top 5 film festivals in North America.

What a lovely morning, topped with fresh berries unexpectedly showing on your stroll through the green, a lovely space of warmth and wanting, a lovely message for a dear friend, and the sweetest ... نوازش that surprisingly came your after just saying hi to the two kids from that space.

What has been the impact of that on that 10ish-year old girl? Her face was lighten up like the sun.

I don't know exactly what I wanna write, but I wanna write.

It was one of those special days. Not an easy start, due to something I did last night that I know doesn't work for me, and did it anyways.

The evening was great! Once again I took a step, I got un-planned help from outside, and resulted in moments of joy and beauty, where that lovely sense of 'pull' was there. And I got a result, something I have been wanting for a while.

And then in the evening, I wanted to meet a friend for Reiki. It is going to happen.

I want time.
I feel uncomfortable when thinking of starting a new contract now, although there sounds to be an opportunity with BR that I don't want to miss. I'm

There is a missing link,
I touched it for a second when I was coming back. I am weak. I lost it quickly. It is so sweet and meaningful, and ... what is the word, real, true, moving.
